About Me
The short bio: I teach rhetoric and professional writing classes at UMass Dartmouth and do research on the rhetoric of science and technology.
In broad terms, my research focuses on how workplaces make complex information available to different audiences with different needs, particularly in the areas of technology transfer and technical communication. In narrower terms, my research is about the ways in which language figures a rhetorical ground for material action and constitutes a space for negotiating interests and ascribing value to objects and practices.
